Loneliness and depression in this season of togetherness can only be relieved by the One who knows and understands everything about me. He is the only one who will never leave me, even when he knows the worst. Omniscient means: possessing complete and unlimited knowledge, awareness, or understanding. It is perceiving all things. A warm welcome from Rosie.  How are things at your house?       We're ready for company.
I could choose a nugget from Tozer's book, every day and spend the next year meditating on life changing truth.
"God has charged Himself with full responsibility for our eternal happiness and stands ready to take over the management of our lives the moment we turn in faith to Him." A.W. Tozer from his book The Knowledge of the Holy As I study this book, I wonder, do I really leave the management of my life in God's hands? Am I patiently trusting Him with my happiness? May I remember the happiness I seek may not be in His plan. Happiness God provides, is exceedingly, abundantly, greater than I can conceive or imagine. God's promise in Isaiah is: "And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them." Isaiah 42:16 ESV I'm one of the blind, walking in darkness. I continually trip over the rough places. I thank God that He doesn't forsake me. The Christmas season - full of joy, happy children, snowflakes, love, peace on earth. Nice to think about, but we know this isn't they way life is unfolding for all people around the world. For many, this year's Christmas season is also full of uncertainty and fear. Terror attacks, war, natural calamities. Governments are ineffective. Everything seems out of control. When we focus on the tragedies, there is no joy. We may be ineffective and out of control, but there is One who is in full control. There is One who holds the future. The secret of joy is to focus on Him. I needed to remind myself of the only One offering peace and security-- Omnipotent God. Read my BellaOnline article - Omnipotent God.  This week's memory verse gave me much to think about.
