Pretty Lips

This is for those of us who are over fifty.  And for everyone else, since you know you will be there someday.
Once natural full and pouty lips have become thinner and flatter. The naturally rosy color is fading. What happened?  Where did those alluring lips go?  

• As we get older, our bodies produce less collagen. Collagen, the protein that supports the body's soft tissue, is what causes lips to be plump. 
  
• So, one more thing to deal with as we age!  Ultraviolet rays can cause collagen to break down, so it is important to 
  
• wear lipstick or lip balm with sunscreen to protect our lips. Take a Vitamin C supplement. It helps to support the collagen in your skin.
  

 Makeup tips for thin lips:

•  Use lip liner. It should be the same color as your lips or very close, but not darker. Line the outside edge of your lips but don’t go into the corners of your mouth.
  
• Use lipstick with a slight shine to give your lips a more rounded appearance. (Not so shiny that you look like you've been eating fried chicken.)
