These problems increase with weight
- High blood pressure and high cholesterol contribute to a greater risk of heat attack and stroke
- Type 2 diabetes can lead to blindness, kidney failure and circulation problems. It also leads
to higher risk of heart disease- Osteoarthritis. With more weight more stress is placed on joints
- Breast cancer, colorectal cancer, endometrial and prostate cancer show a higher incidence
in those who are over-weight
Over-weight post-menopausal women have a 50% higher risk of developing breast cancer- Depression from poor body image
