Half Updo for SemiFormal  Dance
. This is the perfect dressy hair style for the girl who isn't in to curly or poofy hair. It is appropriate for the prom, semi-formal or just a date.

The 'curls' are created with a flat iron so that they only wave and turn over and don't curl all the way around.  The bangs are left flat with just enough bend or curl to create a finished look.

The top is pulled back by taking small sections from the front hairline and twisting. Roll the sections until you come to the crown. Open a bobby pin slightly and put the end of the twist inside. Slide the bobby pin back underneath the twist. This helps to hide the long ends of the pin. All that is visible is the 'loop' end of the pin holding the twist. The twists at the sides help to cover the ends of the first twists. After the hair is secure, curl the free ends with a flat iron or curling iron. Spray each twist with firm hold hair spray as soon as it is secured.

Placing the bobby pins in this manner is very secure, however, to make sure this style stays firm during the entire evening, two decorative bobby pins are added to help to hold the crown.
